Sales Weight Ticket¶
Purpose¶
The Weight Ticket is the printed weight document for a sales order.
Before you start¶
- You have the right account for this screen (see Permissions and Access).
- The date and record you are working on are correct.
- Words you do not know are in the Glossary.
Overview¶
The Weight Ticket is the printed weight document for a sales order.
It does not weigh anything. It does not create a scale ticket, does not change the order, and does not remember that you printed it. The actual weighing is a separate job.
Access¶
Shipping → Outbound Sales, then the order → Open Ticket → Open Print View
Screen¶

Steps¶
Review and Print¶
- Open the exact sales order and verify the booking or reference, the parties, the item weights, and the equipment, container and seal.
- In the order detail choose
Open Ticket, thenOpen Print View. - The print dialog opens by itself. If you have not already verified the source and the preview, cancel that first dialog.
- Match every printed line, the raw total, what each unit means, and the combined equipment value against the source.
- Print from the browser, confirming the printer and destination.
Fields¶
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Item weights | Must match the order |
| Unit | Changes how the weight reads — check each one |
| Combined equipment value | The equipment totals rolled up; must match the active equipment links |
| Booking / reference, parties, seal | Must match the order |
Status¶
There is no status on this document.
It can render without a physical scale ticket existing. That is why step 3 matters — the preview appearing is not evidence that the weighing happened.
Notes¶
- Never use the generic physical-ticket address as a substitute for this document. They are not the same thing.
- If a weight or item is wrong, stop and route the correction to whoever owns the outbound order or the scale.
- If the equipment totals do not match, reconcile every active equipment link on the order before printing.
- If the print result is unclear, or the order changed after you printed, reopen, reconcile, and let the document owner decide about a reprint.
- Every weight acceptance and reprint decision is a human judgement.
