Permissions and Access

Overview

What you can see depends on your role, not on the screen. This page explains who sees which menu group, and — more usefully — what to do when a screen you need is missing or locked.

A missing menu is almost never a broken system. It is a role. Do not work around it by borrowing someone's account.

Main Features

Who Sees What

Menus are grouped by role. Your account carries one role, and the menu shows what that role includes.

Role The menus you work in
Forklift Operator Inbound > 3. Loader, Inbound > 5. Completed, and the appointments assigned to you
Yard Truck Driver Yard > Yard Instruction, Yard > Yard Map, Yard > Closing
Truck Operator Driver, your own log and deliveries
Dispatch Yard > Appointment, Yard > Yard Map, Yard > Yard Dispatch, Yard > Yard Instruction, Shipping, Inbound > 1. Planning
Office / Billing Shipping, Yard > Appointment, Inbound > 1. Planning, Accounting, Billing & Reports, Report
Administrator Everything, plus Setting, Admin Console, provider settings

If a Screen Is Missing or Locked

Work down this list. It is the fastest route to an answer.

  1. Are you signed in with your own account? A shared or borrowed account shows the wrong menus. Sign out and back in with yours.
  2. Is the menu assigned to your role? Check Roles and Access. If it should be there and is not, it is an account-configuration question.
  3. Is it a module your role does not include? Some screens are restricted to administrators — the Admin Console and provider credentials most of all.
  4. Does the record belong to another company or tenant? Some screens only show your own company's data. A record from another tenant is invisible to you by design, not by fault.
  5. Is the work already done? A completed or superseded row may no longer offer an action. That is not a lock — it is the state.

If none of those explains it, stop and report it: your role, the screen, the menu path, and the exact message. Do not use another person's account to get past it.

Fields

Field What it means
Your role The account type you are signed in with
The menu group What that role is allowed to see
The record's owner Whose data the screen can show

Status

Shown Means
Menu visible Your role includes it
Menu missing Not in your role, or the record is not yours
Button greyed The record is not in a state that allows the action yet

Notes

  • Menus follow your role, not your seniority. Two people on the same team can see different menus.
  • A button that is greyed is telling you the record is not ready, not that you lack permission.
  • Do not fix access problems by editing a record directly. Access is changed in Menu Management, by an administrator.
  • Providers, clients and credentials are restricted on purpose. If you need one, ask.
