Platform Audit Read-Only Preflight Template Validation — 2026-08-08

  • Status: STATIC QUERY-TEMPLATE VALIDATION / NO ENVIRONMENT ACCESS
  • Repository baseline: qa/master@1a71a21d39828dda5c4155d728e1dd6d2da36f74
  • Package: RBR-AUDIT-002-READONLY-ENVIRONMENT-PREFLIGHT.md
  • Static inventory: PLATFORM_AUDIT_CURRENT_WRITER_AND_EVIDENCE_INVENTORY_2026-08-08.md
  • Program state: PHASE IMPLEMENTATION USER HOLD
  • Environment/database/log access: NOT PERFORMED

1. Validation Objective

Validate that the RBR-AUDIT-002 package is:

  • read-only by construction;
  • tenant bounded for business-table reads;
  • ordered by prerequisites;
  • consistent with current source contracts;
  • safe for bounded evidence collection;
  • explicit about unknown environment facts;
  • free of repair, ACK, purge, replay, or source-change steps.

This validation does not prove that the queries execute against any named MySQL version or schema. That requires a separately authorized environment session.

Current source expectations used in the package:

transition tables = main + entity + evidence
selected writer = Loader Start/Undo
process = PROC-TMS-INBOUND-PLANNING / 0.5.0
result = SUCCEEDED
recovery = R1
effect = DATABASE_COMMITTED
evidence = BUSINESS_RECORD + KJ_MUTATION

Operation Event ACK/unack = notification read state
KJDatabase = request/mutation diagnostic metadata

3. Query Inventory

The package contains:

44 SQL blocks
all beginning with SELECT
no multi-statement SQL block
no data definition statement
no data mutation statement
no row/advisory/table lock
no mutating procedure call
no repair statement

The remaining non-SQL sections are:

  • authorization record;
  • host/log observation instructions;
  • result classification;
  • stop conditions;
  • evidence-record template.

4. Static Safety Checks

4.1 Mutation and lock vocabulary

The SQL blocks were checked for active statement use of:

INSERT
UPDATE
DELETE
REPLACE
ALTER
CREATE
DROP
TRUNCATE
CALL
FOR UPDATE
LOCK TABLES
GET_LOCK
RELEASE_LOCK
SET GLOBAL

Result:

PASS — no prohibited SQL statement is present

Words can appear in prose or quoted status values, but not as executable mutation/locking statements.

4.2 Statement count

Each fenced SQL block contains one statement terminator and represents one independently executable read.

PASS

This preserves prerequisite stopping and avoids a package-wide script that continues after schema mismatch.

4.3 Query shape

The package uses:

SELECT
information_schema reads
JOIN / LEFT JOIN
GROUP BY / HAVING
ORDER BY / LIMIT
CASE
aggregate functions
bounded JSON-safe codes and hashes

It does not require:

subquery
common table expression
temporary table
stored procedure
transaction
session setting change

Result:

PASS

4.4 Tenant scope

Every direct read of a tenant-owned operational table uses:

CLIENT_ID = <CLIENT_ID>

or joins from an already tenant-filtered transition row.

information_schema and environment identity queries are intentionally database-wide metadata reads and contain no business rows.

Result:

PASS

4.5 Bounded output

Potential row-level outputs use LIMIT 100, LIMIT 25, or a similarly bounded current sample.

Distribution queries return grouped aggregates.

Result:

PASS

4.6 Sensitive-data boundary

The package explicitly excludes:

  • full notification payload JSON;
  • actor/subject names;
  • cookies/session IDs;
  • credentials/tokens;
  • full SQL or request bodies;
  • file/mail/provider payloads;
  • unrelated customer data.

Raw request/correlation values are replaced with hashes in broad summaries. Controlled diagnostic resolution may use the raw value only inside the authorized evidence record.

Result:

PASS

5. Schema Coverage

The package checks:

  • required table existence;
  • exact columns/types/null/default/extra/collation;
  • indexes;
  • composite child foreign keys;
  • check constraints;
  • engine/collation;
  • table estimates.

Expected source identities are taken from the current migration and store implementation.

Result:

PASS — template coverage
NOT RUN — environment result

6. Row And Integrity Coverage

The package covers:

  • exact transition/entity/evidence counts;
  • process/transition/source distribution;
  • result/recovery/effect distribution;
  • context/version/actor-subject shape;
  • enum and paired-field conflicts;
  • retention/legal-hold distribution;
  • UUID/hash and repeated request/correlation candidates;
  • orphan and tenant-mismatched children;
  • ordinal gaps;
  • entity/evidence type/relation distributions;
  • high-impact notification-only evidence;
  • selected Loader writer rows;
  • Loader entity/evidence completeness;
  • referenced Transload readability;
  • request/correlation/KJ reference consistency.

Result:

PASS — template coverage
NOT RUN — environment result

7. Notification Boundary Coverage

The package checks:

  • T_OPERATION_EVENT columns and indexes;
  • event/source/severity/ACK distribution;
  • ACK timestamp/user pair consistency;
  • repeated source notification candidates;
  • transition references to operation events;
  • notification evidence used outside NOTIFICATION_ONLY;
  • approval references that appear to point to operation events.

It does not execute ACK or unack.

Result:

PASS — template coverage
NOT RUN — environment result

8. KJ Diagnostic Coverage

The host/log section is observation-only and requires a separate authorized location.

It records:

  • channel identity and owner;
  • age/size/rotation;
  • bounded field-presence shape;
  • current before policy;
  • redaction and truncation;
  • retention/access;
  • at most five transition-to-diagnostic correlation checks.

It prohibits copying full channels or sensitive payloads.

Result:

PASS — observation design
NOT RUN — diagnostic channel result

9. Source-Writer Inventory Validation

Static source search found:

TransitionAuditStore implementation
selected CtcLoaderTransitionEvidence business writer
smoke/test sources

No second direct business writer was located.

The package does not infer that the environment contains only Loader rows; it explicitly queries all process/source distributions.

Result:

PASS

10. Result And Stop Contract

The package defines environment classifications:

SCHEMA_ABSENT
SCHEMA_PRESENT_EMPTY
WRITER_ROWS_PRESENT_EXPECTED
WRITER_ROWS_PRESENT_CONFLICT
OTHER_WRITER_ROWS_PRESENT
CHILD_REFERENCE_CONFLICT
RETENTION_CONFLICT
NOTIFICATION_BOUNDARY_CONFLICT
DIAGNOSTIC_EVIDENCE_COMPLETE
DIAGNOSTIC_EVIDENCE_PARTIAL
BLOCKED

It stops on:

  • ambiguous environment/tenant;
  • non-read-only account;
  • missing prerequisite schema;
  • unexpected sensitive output;
  • unbounded results;
  • identity drift;
  • live integrity incident requiring an owner;
  • any proposed repair or state change.

Result:

PASS

11. Known Limits

Static validation does not prove:

  • SQL execution compatibility with a named MySQL environment;
  • table installation;
  • check/FK enforcement;
  • current row contents;
  • deployed writer reachability;
  • diagnostic file access;
  • log redaction effectiveness;
  • retention policy approval;
  • support-role authorization;
  • evidence resolver correctness for every type.

These remain RBR-AUDIT-002 environment evidence.
