Billing Current Source Refresh And Preflight Validation — 2026-08-08

  • Status: STATIC VALIDATION PASS / NO ENVIRONMENT OR PROVIDER EFFECT
  • Current review ref: qa/master@58c24661902c10a30209bab62d43fc5490feaeba
  • Source refresh: CTC_BILLING_QBO_FILES_EMAIL_CURRENT_SOURCE_REFRESH_2026-08-08.md
  • Read-only package: RBR-BILL-QBO-FILE-MAIL-READONLY-PREFLIGHT.md
  • Phase implementation: USER HOLD
  • Effects: static source/blob/query/document review only

1. Validation Purpose

This validation checks two things:

  1. whether the current-source refresh is supported by the compared owner files and targeted effect blocks;
  2. whether the current-state preflight is read-only, tenant-scoped, bounded and capable of distinguishing local, provider, file and mail partial states.

It does not prove current database contents, provider objects, object readability, role behavior or Wiki content.

2. Source Refresh Evidence

2.1 Byte-identical core owner files

The following original/current blob pairs are identical:

AR Billing helper
29f2ef3d209de94daa2629f3efc3eec9af6e2173

AR Billing API routes
a4c0d3a21babddd41efd0a8aa175f53e3a039a4b

AR Billing browser module

QuickBooksOnlineClient

Gmail sender
f2dd8c51fd42eaed848eaad22d198ac52538eda7

Result: PASS.

2.2 Changed generic transaction post-helper

The generic BMS post-helper blob changed from:

228322c6e6907c3886b53fd44712530b6214be8d

to:

d3158f5af503a1d37f3fdde730a9593270b84c52

The identified current delta is guarded Street Turn compensation. The unchanged generic transaction route and shared mutation helper support the classification:

ADJACENT CROSS-FAMILY FILE DRIFT
NO BILLING TRANSACTION SEMANTIC CHANGE LOCATED

The validation does not claim that every function in the changed file was formally proven identical. It claims that the current Billing owner/caller set reviewed here did not expose a Billing semantic delta.

Result: PASS WITH EXPLICIT SCOPE.

2.3 BOL email targeted block

The original and current source ranges were compared for:

tmsTransloadApiBolFailure
tmsTransloadApiBolScaleTicketPdf
tmsTransloadApiBolFileAttachments
tmsTransloadApiSendBolEmail

The route remains:

POST /tms/transloads/{id}/bol-email

No material block change was located.

Result: PASS.

2.4 Packing List email targeted block

The original and current source ranges were compared for:

tmsBookingApiPackingListRecipient
tmsBookingApiPackingListFailure
tmsBookingApiAssertGpOutRefForPackingList
tmsBookingApiSendPackingListEmail

No material block change was located.

Result: PASS.

2.5 QuickBooks Time separation

Post-baseline Staff Time/QBT changes were reviewed as a separate provider family from QBO Invoice.

The source refresh explicitly prevents the QBT changes from being misclassified as QBO Invoice source drift.

Result: PASS.

3. Source Classification Validation

The corrected classification is internally consistent:

core Billing/QBO/File/Gmail owner source
= no material drift located

BOL/Packing targeted effect blocks
= no material drift located

surrounding large route/helper files
= adjacent cross-family drift

current environment/provider/role/Wiki
= evidence required

This classification is narrower and more useful than reopening the entire family based only on changed file names.

It still preserves the following unresolved risks:

  • active AR uniqueness;
  • concurrent confirm;
  • provider idempotency/search/reconciliation;
  • stale SYNCING;
  • provider-created/local-save-uncertain results;
  • file object/link/readability divergence;
  • BOL response loss;
  • Packing target/part partial result;
  • role/API/Wiki acceptance.

Result: PASS.

4. Preflight SQL Construction

The preflight contains 37 read-only SQL templates.

Allowed statement families:

SELECT
information_schema read

No template contains:

INSERT
UPDATE
DELETE
REPLACE
ALTER
CREATE
DROP
TRUNCATE
SELECT ... FOR UPDATE
LOCK TABLES
GET_LOCK
RELEASE_LOCK
mutating CALL

The prohibited terms can appear in explanatory prose but are not presented as executable repair statements.

Result: PASS.

5. Tenant Scope

Every application-data SQL template requires:

CLIENT_ID = <CLIENT_ID>

or inherits tenant scope through a join whose primary source is tenant-scoped.

Schema queries are scoped to:

TABLE_SCHEMA = DATABASE()

No cross-tenant provider or file search is included.

Result: PASS.

6. Schema-First Behavior

The package reads schema before rows.

It handles optional/source-dependent columns by requiring confirmation before dependent queries, including:

  • Billing/QBO columns;
  • file storage/sequence fields;
  • transaction-line source fields.

The package instructs the executor to stop and revise the query from current schema rather than guessing when columns differ.

Result: PASS.

7. Result Bounding And Data Minimization

Row-level outputs use bounded limits or exact approved IDs.

Broad inventories avoid:

  • full customer email export;
  • full file path/object export;
  • full invoice description export;
  • credentials or provider tokens;
  • unrestricted transaction corpus copies;
  • other-tenant rows.

One-record detail queries are explicitly separated from broad aggregate queries and require restricted evidence retention.

Result: PASS.

8. Partial-Result Coverage

The package can identify or prepare evidence for:

Local Billing/AR

active duplicate AR candidates
headers without active lines
orphan active lines
missing source identities

QBO

SYNCED without provider identity
provider identity on non-SYNCED rows
stale SYNCING
ERROR with provider references
duplicate provider ID/doc-number patterns
READY without durable attempt ledger

File

link to missing/deleted transaction
duplicate active links
shared path/object references
sequence collisions
missing metadata
object-readability handoff
cleanup candidates without cleanup execution

Mail

missing local recipient readiness
missing attachment readiness
no durable local BOL/Packing ledger
provider search handoff
partial target/part classification

Result: PASS.

9. Provider And Effect Safety

The package performs no provider request.

It defines provider read handoffs separately for:

QBO Invoice search/reconciliation
Gmail Sent-message/part reconciliation
Object-storage readability

No create, update, void, send, resend, upload, link, delete or cleanup is authorized.

Result: PASS.

10. Role And Wiki Boundary

The package includes GET-only role/page inspection definitions and delegates current Wiki inventory to RBR-EV-030.

It does not treat Super Admin visibility as field-role acceptance.

It does not authorize a consequential action merely to discover whether the button/API works.

Result: PASS.

11. Stop Conditions

The package stops rather than repairs when it finds:

  • foreign-tenant data;
  • schema mismatch;
  • duplicate active local AR;
  • QBO unknown/provider-reference conflict;
  • file metadata/object conflict;
  • mail state that cannot distinguish sent from unsent;
  • role/action mismatch;
  • unsafe Wiki retry instructions.

Result: PASS.

12. Validation Summary

13. Remaining Requirements Before Evidence Execution

A later evidence session still requires:

exact environment and deployed source
read-only DB account
verified tenant/profile
approved transaction/booking/transload/file fixtures
intended and denied role fixtures
provider read authorization where required
restricted evidence location
cleanup/compensation owner for any later mutable test
accepting Process/Finance/Operations owner

This validation does not authorize those effects and does not establish M3 or M4.
