Decision 0013 — Five-Phase Modular Product Delivery¶

Context¶
The program needed explicit boundaries between building the reusable Product Core, building MK, migrating current CTC behavior, evolving CTC processes and replacing persistence. Combining those concerns caused repeated rediscovery, unbounded Tasks and unclear completion claims.
Decision Rationale¶
Use five distinct phases:
Product Core and integrated Booking proof
MK order-first operating system
current CTC migration
new CTC process evolution
PostgreSQL persistence migration
The separation exists to prevent:
- MK from becoming a late customer-specific skin;
- CTC migration from silently redesigning the process;
- CTC redesign from destabilizing migration;
- PostgreSQL preparation from delaying Product work;
- customer-specific source forks;
- persistence concerns from leaking into accepted Product contracts.
One modular multi-tenant Product, shared semantic modules, profiles/capabilities and tenant-owned data remain the target.
Retained Boundaries¶
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 establish and prove the shared Product Core.
- Phase 3 preserves and migrates current approved CTC behavior.
- Phase 4 owns new CTC process and UX design.
- Phase 5 changes persistence after semantics stabilize.
- Current MySQL remains authoritative until the later persistence phase.
- Legacy fallback remains until accepted cutover and caller-zero.
Current Authority¶
This record explains the five-phase rationale. Exact names, scope and exit gates are owned only by ROADMAP.md. Current phase scope is owned by its phase README. Exact Task IDs and status are owned only by EXECUTION.md.
Immutability¶
Do not edit this decision to carry a current Task sequence or phase amendment. A new direction requires a new superseding decision and updates to the owning current documents.
