Decision 0002 — UI Direction Before Process Reconstruction And Foundation

Context

The program had scheduled Process reconstruction before any user review of the new visual and interaction direction. Because the rewrite must be visibly better and the design system must not be reinvented page by page, the user requested UI direction confirmation before Process reconstruction and Runtime Foundation.

Decision

The NS0 sequence is:

NS0-002
Initial UX direction and representative surface approval

NS0-003
Process, domain and Legacy evidence reconstruction

NS0-004
Process-reconciled final UI/page/interaction contract approval

NS1
Runtime, design-system, platform/data and knowledge foundations

NS0-002 may decide:

  • visual language;
  • App Shell and navigation;
  • Office/Field density;
  • responsive and accessibility direction;
  • table/form/modal/drawer behavior;
  • save/readback, unknown-result, error and recovery presentation;
  • Compatibility Surface and Product Surface coexistence;
  • representative layouts for Booking, CTC Home, MK Home and Loader Field Task.

NS0-002 may not decide unresolved business requiredness, authoritative states, role permissions, transaction boundaries, side effects or correction rules. Those remain explicit Process inputs for NS0-003.

NS0-004 incorporates the approved Process results into final implementation-ready UI contracts and requires a second explicit user approval.

Consequences

  • NS0-002 becomes the active next Task.
  • the former Process Task moves to NS0-003;
  • NS0-004 is added as the final NS0 Gate;
  • all NS1 Tasks require accepted NS0-004;
  • Booking implementation requires both TARGET_APPROVED Process semantics and final UI contracts;
  • representative prototypes are Product/Design evidence, not Runtime proof;
  • no source, DB, route, writer, provider, service or Wiki effect is authorized.

Supersession

This decision supersedes Roadmap wording that placed Process reconstruction immediately before NS1 without an initial and final UI approval Gate.

Decision 0008 supersedes this decision's execution order. The NS0-002 visual approval remains valid, but broad NS0-003/NS0-004 completion is no longer a prerequisite for Foundation or the first Booking slice.
