0003 — UI Copy, Required Marker And Temporal Field Direction¶
- Status:
ACCEPTED USER DIRECTION - Date:
2026-08-14 - Owner:
NS0-002 - Restriction delta:
RD-000 / NONE
Decision¶
- User-facing UI uses English labels and no subtext of any kind by default. Process scope, implementation status and unresolved-semantics disclaimers remain documentation-only and must not appear as page subtitles, helper text, cards or footers.
- Developer/evidence/profile descriptions do not appear in ordinary Product or Compatibility surfaces.
- Required fields use a danger-colored
*or equivalent compact mark immediately after the label. The visible wordRequiredis not used. - Date, Time, Datetime and Datetime Local are consolidated into one target visual family,
TemporalField. - Appointment reuses the shared date picker and adds a status-aware TimeBlock picker.
- CTC uses Theme H and MK uses Theme K by default. H/K share every metric and behavior; only semantic colors differ.
Allowed Secondary Text¶
Validation, error/recovery, safety, active status, time-block availability/capacity, accessibility and record-disambiguation text remain allowed when necessary.
Consequences¶
- Existing prototypes and future UI Catalog entries must remove decorative helper copy.
- Process reconstruction determines actual requiredness and temporal semantics.
- Legacy field-type names remain source evidence but do not force separate target controls.
- Theme selection remains Presentation-only configuration.
